OLD CLASSIC GULASH

Ingredients

1 pound elbow macaroni
2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cans (15 oz) tomato sauce
2 cans (14.5 oz) small diced tomatoes
1 1/2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Cook the macaroni for 3 minutes less than directed on the package and then drain.
Heat a large pan over high heat.Add the minced meat and onions to the pan. Separate the meat and fry for 6-7 minutes until browned. Allow fat to drain.

Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.Mix until well combined.
Add the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasonings.

Add the cooked macaroni and cheddar cheese. If your pan is heatproof, you can place it in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until the goulash is bubbling and the cheese is melted.If the pan is not heatproof, put the goulash in a pot and bake.
