PINEAPPLE CAKE BARS

Do you have to use a lot of different ingredients to make layered cake bars? Nope, you don’t even need 10 ingredients to make these sweet and satisfying pineapple cake bars, even though they are layered and impressive!
These delicious cake bars are simple to make and far tastier than anything you can find at the bakery. They’re easy to prepare and the whole family is going to love them.

INGREDIENTS

For the crust and topping:
Pinch salt
1 ½ C.All-purpose flour
¾ C. Cold, diced butter
½ C. Sugar
For the filling:
Pinch of salt
2 large eggs
½ C. Flour
1 C. Sugar
16 oz.Can of crushed pineapple
½ C. Sour cream
For the glaze:

1 tsp. Coconut extract
1 C. Powdered sugar
2 tbsp. Half and Half
How to Make Pineapple Cake Bars
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.For the base mixture, mix flour and sugar.

Stir in the cold butter until the mixture is crumbly. Save 1 cup of this mixture for later.
Press the remaining crust mixture into the bottom of a well-greased 9×13 baking dish.

Bake for 15 minutes.Mix the ingredients for the filling and spread on the pre-baked base in the baking dish.
Top with remaining crust mixture.
Bake for 1 hour.

Cook for 15-20 minutes.
Mix the ingredients for the glaze until smooth.
Drizzle the glaze over the bars, adding more half if necessary to thin the glaze.Slice and serve
