These oat bars looked like delicious granola bars and chocolate, which meant they were loved by all. Layers of oatmeal and chocolate covered with more chocolate drizzle make up this delicious dessert. The best part? No cooking involved!! Not only are they great for summer, they’re great all year round and can give you the feeling of eating delicious oatmeal without having to bake it!

The thick layer chocolate in the middle is definitely my favourite part We hope you can give it a try and enjoy a delicious treat without the house heating. 😉

I have a hard time wanting to get into the kitchen in the middle of an Arizona summer. I mean, who could blame me when the temps are 115?! This place is spicy, but that doesn’t mean our craving for sweets is over. Instead, we try to make as many quick, no-bake meals as possible. We recently tried the No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars that the whole family loved, and I wanted to share the recipe with you today.

*ingredients:

°1 cup of butter

°Half a cup of packed brown sugar

°1 teaspoon vanilla

°3 cups quick-cooking oats

°1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

°1/2 cup peanut butter

*How to make

Grease a 9″ x 9″ square baking pan.

Melting butter in a large saucepan on medium heat. Add the brown sugar and vanilla, stirring. Mix in rolled oats. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes or until ingredients are well blended. Put half of the batter in the bottom of the prepared pan. Save the other half for decoration.

Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture over the crust in the pan, spreading it evenly with a knife or the back of a spoon.

Roll the remaining oatmeal mixture over the chocolate layer, pressing gently. Cover and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Bring it to room temperature before cutting it into bars.

Enjoy !
