You won’t believe the bakery-like flavor of our Amish Cinnamon Bread! With only a handful of easy ingredients, you can whip up a batch of Amish cinnamon bread in no time. It would be lovely served for breakfast, enjoyed as a dessert, or given as a housewarming present.
Product ingredients
In the interest of the batter maker:
One cup of creamy butter
two cups sugar
two eggs
Two cups of buttermilk, or two cups of milk and two teaspoons of vinegar, if you want to make it at home.
citrus fruit juice
flour, measured in cups
Soda, two tablespoons’ worth
Regarding the cinnamon-sugar mixture:
.75 cups of sugar
2 teaspoons of cinnamon, ground
Amish Cinnamon Bread Recipe and How to Make It
Combine eggs, 2 cups sugar, and butter. Combine the baking soda, flour, and milk. Divide the mixture in half and pour half of it (or slightly less) into two loaf pans that have been oiled. Mix in separate.
Combine the cinnamon and 2/3 cup of sugar in a mixing dish.
Before pouring batter into the pans, spread 3/4 of the cinnamon mixture over half of the batter. Pour the remaining batter into the pans and top with the remaining cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to combine. After 45 to 50 minutes of baking at 350 degrees, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Twenty minutes should pass between adding it to the pan and removing it. Makes two loaves of bread.
