Ingredients: To Make the Dough:
2 1 package of active dry yeast, 1/4 teaspoon
Warm water, measuring 1/4 cup (110°F or 45°C)
Milk that is at least 110 degrees Fahrenheit (45 degrees Celsius) and 3/4 cup heated
A quarter cup of sugar, granular
one-fourth teaspoon of salt
melted 1/4 cup unsalted butter
one big egg
Two and a half cups of all-purpose flour, plus a little more for dusting
As a Seasoning:
For frying, use vegetable oil.
To Apply the Glaze:
melted 1/4 cup unsalted butter
2.5 cups of sugar powder
1/4 cup of milk (or additional liquid as needed)
Directions: 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
Get the dough ready:
Put the yeast and warm water into a small basin and stir to dissolve. Wait until it starts to froth, which should take about 5 to 10 minutes.
The egg, sugar, salt, butter, and milk should all be mixed together in a big basin. Mix the yeast with the water.
Mix in the flour little by little until a soft dough is formed. Once the dough is floured, knead it for about five to seven minutes, or until it becomes elastic and smooth.
The dough needs an hour to rise, or until it doubles in size, so oil a basin and cover with a clean cloth. Keep it in a warm spot.
Get the Donuts Shaped:
After the dough has risen, dust a surface and roll it out until it’s about 1/2 inch thick.
Create donuts by cutting out shapes using a donut cutter or two circular cutters of varying sizes. The smaller holes may also be used to create donut shapes.
After 30–45 minutes, remove the cloth from the baking sheet and let the donuts to rise again.
Deep-Fry the Donuts:
A big saucepan or deep fryer should be heated to 350°F (175°C) using vegetable oil.
Cook the donuts in hot oil, one or two at a time, until they get a golden brown color.
After taking the donuts out of the pan, set them on a paper towel-lined dish to soak up any extra grease.
Get the Glaze Made:
Combine the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla essence, and melted butter in a small bowl and whisk until smooth. To adjust the glaze’s thickness, add more milk tablespoon by tablespoon until it’s the right consistency.
The Donuts Need Glaze:
Toss the hot doughnuts in the glaze, turning them over to cover each side. The donuts should be placed on a wire rack to allow the glaze to harden.
