This kolacky recipe is a simple Czech cream cheese pastry (pronounced kolotch-key), a very old holiday favorite. Using Solo-brand filling found in the baking aisle is a delicious time-saver. The prune flavor is scrumptious!

Ingredients:

2 c flour

2 sticks butter

2 3oz pkg cream cheese

Pastry filling of choice

Directions:

Let butter and cream cheese come to room temperature. Blend together. Slowly add flour.

This gets really thick and will need to use your hands to mix. After mixing, refrigerate at least an hour.

Roll to 1/8”. Cut in 2” squares. Put filling on cookie on the diagonal. Fold over the other 2 corners.

Bake 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes until golden on bottom. After they cool, sprinkle with powder sugar.

Enjoy!
