Baked Meatball Sandwiches

Ingredients

1-2 packages Carando Abruzse Fresh Italian Meatballs

4-6 Hoagie Rolls

4-6 slices Provolone Cheese

12 ounces Marinara

6 cups Mozzarella for garnish – optional 9 87

instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and then place the raw meatballs about 1 inch apart.
Bake the meatballs for 15 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet, flip the meatballs over and return to the oven to bake for an additional 14 to 17 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 185 degrees F.

While the meatballs are baking, spray the pan with oil or spray oil.Place the rolls on the prepared plate and cover the inside of each roll with a slice of provolone cheese.
Once the meatballs are cooked, place several on each bun between the cheese. (*Note: Do not turn off the oven after baking the meatballs)
Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, then top each sandwich with a handful of mozzarella cheese.

Bake in the oven at 375 degrees F for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
*Optional – grill for 2-5 minutes before serving to brown the cheese.Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
