INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter.
2 cups sugar.
4 eggs.3 cups self-rising flour.
1 cup buttermilk.
2 tsp vanilla.
Southern Caramel Frosting Recipe (double the recipe)
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a bowl, beat the butter, add the sugar and beat for about 8 minutes.
Stir in the eggs one at a time and then alternately add the flour and buttermilk.Add the vanilla and mix until well combined.
Prepare three 9-inch cake pans and pour the batter evenly into the pans.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Transfer cakes to cooling racks.
