KFC Cookies
The recipe for KFC cookies is easy to prepare at home. This copycat recipe is buttery with soft, flaky layers.
If I’ve learned anything over the years, it’s that KFC is my favorite fast food restaurant. Sometimes I even buy some when I know I’ll have guests or I’m too lazy to cook. They have such a wide variety of delicious options that they change almost constantly, making it very difficult to choose the best
ones.Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons white granulated sugar
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup cold salted butter
2/3 cup milk
Directions:
Preheat Bake at 415 degrees using a baking sheet Lay out baking paper.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar and salt.
Using a mixer, your hands, or a knife and fork, cut in the butter until the flour resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the milk and stir with a fork until the mixture forms a homogeneous mass. Remove the dough to a lightly floured work surface and knead until smooth.Roll out the dough until it is ½ inch thick. Cut the buttered cookie dough into 3-inch pieces or cut into squares. Shape the remaining dough, roll it out to ½ inch and repeat the process until all the dough is used up and it forms into cookies.
