Salted butter caramel is a true passion. 

 Ingredients: 

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions: 

First, heat the granulated sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat . Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon until the sugar melts and turns an amber  color.

Carefully add the  cream to the caramelized sugar, stirring constantly. The mixture will form bubbles, so be careful.

Once the cream is fully incorporated, add the unsalted butter and continue stirring until melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.Remove the pot from the heat and add the sea salt. Adjust the quantity to your liking.

Allow the caramel to cool  before transferring  to a  jar or airtight container. 

You can use  salted butter caramel as a topping for ice cream, drizzle it over desserts, or use it as a dip for fruit.
